The Cove: Design thinking in action?
On the eve of Oscar weekend, GlimmerSite reader Sarah MacLennan shares the following:
"I saw a special screening of 'The Cove' last night which is a documentary up for an Oscar on Sunday and it made me think of Glimmer. 'The Cove' tells the story of an ops mission to stop dolphin killing in Taiji, Japan. It's brilliant and has all the elements of DT—a wicked problem, human-focused research, observation, listening, storytelling, creative problem solving, specific outcomes, prototyping, refinement, an inter-disciplinary team, a compelling solution, and of course, the unbridled optimism that we can shape a new reality and make the world a better place. Special Bonus: lots of real and metaphorical fence jumping to boot! Cheers to the revolution of possibility."
