William McDonough is the founding principal of William McDonough + Partners, a design firm practicing ecologically, socially, and economically intelligent architecture, and is also principal of MBDC, a product development firm assisting companies in designing eco-friendly solutions. McDonough and partner Michael Braungart co-authored the groundbreaking Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things.
