Whitney, Patrick
Patrick Whitney is director of the Institute of Design at Illinois Institute of Technology, and is known as a prominent advocate of human-centered design. Whitney has published and lectured throughout the world about how to make technological innovations more humane, as well as on the link between design and business strategy.
In Glimmer: Whitney explains and offers solutions to the current “innovation gap”—wherein companies have the capability to make just about anything, yet have no idea what they should make.
Quote: “We know less about how a family lives now than in the 1950s, because people are living with so much more complexity and have so many more choices.”
